WILLIAM Yes. I checked it out. This is going to be fun. So it goes like this. When we're done playing we walk away. Or there's a light that goes out, that's also possible. Those are the signals to indicate that the game is over. When people clap, we come back on stage to receive the applause. We do this while RUNNING. If we see that one of us is not running but walking, we touch the back kindly, for encouragement, to speed up the rhytm. We run up to the front. To the very front of the stage, as close to the people as possible. Be careful not to fall off. When we get there, we stand still. We keep looking in front of us as we look for the hands of the other actor next to us. We bow and we receive the applause. We NEVER unload each other's hands. Our faces express what we are feeling at that moment. But never show that you don't or don't like yourself. So your expression is 'INCORPARTED' neutral, we practised that last time. Because it's not about us. We colour the text. That's all and that's a lot. We are a conduit. Then we point to our colleagues who operate the lights. In the old days, you sometimes had a director who always sat in the back row wearing a hat. Because, of course, the applause is also there for him. Then we go back from the stage, always already RUNNING. If the audience continues to applaud then we walk back onto the stage. We repeat the same action. Be careful though, sometimes the corridor to the loge is far. We don't have to walk all the way down that one, because then we are too far away. If we then decide to return to receive the applause, by the time we get back the applause may not be there. If the audience continues to applaud after 15 minutes, the academic quarter has passed. Then, together with the audience, we decide whether to replay the performance all over again from scratch or only redo the funniest scenes. In some cases, it happens that someone from the audience calls out her or his favourite scene, a request scene that we may or may not grant. Whether the applause is a closing applause we don't really notice until the room is empty, and the usher checks the seats. Everyone ready?
